My Story (In a Nutshell)
who am i and why do people ask to hear my story?
And now, just about every new person I meet asks to hear my story when I tell them I used to be a lawyer and now I own a yoga studio. Because I actually did the thing they've read about, or seen in the movies, or maybe even dream of doing themselves. I took the leap, made a big change, and am living life on my own terms! And they want their own version of that, because they're ready to stop settling.
I spent the first season of my life doing all the things I was supposed to do, checking all the boxes, “achieving” by everyone’s definition but my own. I went to the fancy schools (UT Business (hook 'em!), UPenn Law (go Quakers!)) and got the fancy job (Top 100 AmLaw Firm in DC).
I was “successful” by all traditional measures of the word.
And yet, I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. I wasn’t happy. This wasn’t enough. I knew, deep in my soul, that this wasn’t where I was meant to be or what I was meant to do.

Then, nearly 5 years into my legal career, my world was shattered by the unexpected loss of my best friend in the world: my father.
And that was my wake up call. This life is a gift, and tomorrow isn’t promised. None of us know how long we have in this life, and I for one didn’t want to spend a single second more of it doing anything that I did not absolutely love.

So I walked away from everything I had worked so hard to build in search of my true purpose and place in life. After a long and winding 3+ year journey that involved many different jobs and dead ends, I opened my first yoga studio in DC's Capitol Hill neighborhood in 2015. And from day 1, I knew I had finally found it. This was definitely the kind of work that I was meant to be doing, and that felt AMAZING.
Are you ready?
Ready to stop settling for feeling
burned out, unmotivated, or unfulfilled by your work?
To stop settling for relationships, mindsets, or messaging that hold you back instead of lighting you up?
And above all, to stop settling for a life that isn't fully aligned with
who you really are and what you really want?

I learned a lot of lessons on my journey from sad corporate lawyer to fulfilled yoga teacher + studio owner, and I’ve spent the last decade-plus sharing those lessons with my students so that they can make the changes they need to build the life that they want.
And now I’m bringing that knowledge outside of the studio and to the rest of the world.
