Just the Highlights: My Professional Story


I started writing my professional story, soup to nuts. And it got REALLY long, really quickly. So I scrapped it, and wrote up the highlights instead. Over time, I'll share the details in manageable chunks. Meanwhile, if there's something you'd really like to know, leave me a question in the comments!

2001 - 2005: University of Texas (Business Honors + Marketing Majors)

Summer 2005: SEO Summer Internship at Weil, Gotshal, + Manges (NYC Office)

2005 - 2008: University of Pennsylvania Law School (JD)

2008 - 2012: Associate, Hughes Hubbard + Reed (DC Office)

2011 - 2012: Here's where things start to get interesting...

  • Interviewed with McKinsey and realized this would be a lateral move

  • Got my 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification

  • Landed part-time gig as Dining Editor of Bisnow Media

2013 - 2015: Here's where things get *really* interesting...

  • Dining Editor, Bisnow Media

  • Partner Associate, Real Living at Home (Residential Realty)

  • Yoga Teacher, Tranquil Space et al.

  • Helped start a construction company that shall remain unnamed (because now he's my ex)

  • Designed Residential Kitchens + Bathrooms for said unnamed company


2015: Opened East Side Yoga

2016: Launched Sanctuary Self-Care Retail Line

2017: Launched Yoga for Real Bodies online video library

2018: Launched Write Your Own Rulebook online community
